The early years were difficult because not too many homeowners understood the concept of gutter protection. Because of Bob Demartini’s numerous patents relating to gutter protection, Gutter Helmet was the pioneer of the industry. When the Gutter Helmet patents began to run out in the late 1990’s a number of competitors began to enter the market. There will always be competition, but Gutter Helmet continues to be the #1 gutter protection product installed on homes throughout the entire United States.
As the years went on, Gutter Helmet of Atlanta developed a strong network of satisfied homeowners and we began to have requests to add additional Home Improvements products. More and more customers began to ask us to install gutters and downspouts and as a natural extension to our business, we did so. We now offer a full line of extruded gutter and downspouts to our customers.
Gutters have been on homes throughout the world for hundreds of even thousands of years and there was no real innovation until the advent of the continuous extruded aluminum gutters. Then, approximately 25 years ago a new bracket to hang gutters was introduced... it was called the “hidden hanger.” For the next 25 years there was very little innovation in the gutter industry…until now. Recently a new gutter hanging system was invented and it is called SnapLock. For the first time gutters can be installed without putting holes in the gutters. As a leader in the Atlanta market, we were chosen to represent SnapLock and we were proud to add it to our product mix.
As we continued to diversify and offer exclusive products other than Gutter Helmet, it became necessary to change the Gutter Helmet of Atlanta name. Wanting a name that would represent all of out products, in 2007, we introduced a new name...HydroTech Home Products.
Since the rollout of our new HydroTech Home products name, we have added yet another exclusive product called Bath Wraps. Bath Wraps is an acrylic bathtub and shower wall liner that is installed over your existing tub and tile. This very durable and easy-to-clean product is in most cases a one-day install by our trained technicians. We also offer tub shower conversions for those interested in turning their shower into a bath tub in just one day.
From our humble beginning as Gutter Helmet of Atlanta to our current name HydroTech Home Products our mission statement has remained the same---“Strive to have the finest products backed by outstanding service”.
